Introducing our latest venture - Flour & Ash, Whiteladies Road

There are few things we love more than a new launch, and we're absolutely thrilled to announce our latest opening....introducing Flour & Ash, Whiteladies Road!


Formerly situated by the Arches on Cheltenham Road, Flour & Ash was heralded as one of the best pizza restaurants in the city before closing its doors in August 2020. In collaboration with original founder, Steve Gale, Hyde & Co founders Nathan Lee, Jason Mead and Kevin Stokes brought the brand back to life as a temporary takeaway pop up at Bambalan throughout the last lockdown, and are now opening a new dine-in restaurant on the corner of Whiteladies Road and Alma Road, previously occupied by Polpo and Number 50.





The new Flour & Ash will be a 140 seater restaurant and bar with an open pizza kitchen, a terrace at the front of the building and future plans for an outer dining area at the rear. The focus for food will continue to be the freshly prepared, wood-fired pizzas the brand is known and loved for, alongside small plates, salads and a perfectly curated selection of wines, cocktails, craft beer and cider. The main menu will be served all day from 12pm-10pm, and customers will also be able to enjoy pastries and coffees from 8am.

peaking about the new opening, our founder Nathan Lee said:


“We were all huge fans of Flour & Ash and are so privileged to be continuing the name and their reputation for some of the best pizzas in town. We loved working with Steve to bring Flour & Ash back to life during the last lockdown with our takeaway pizza pop up at Bambalan, and having lost our previous Whiteladies site; The Ox Clifton, to a fire back in 2019, we’re so excited to be opening up on Whiteladies; a street we’ve all frequented many times as born and bred Bristolians! We’re hoping to bring Flour & Ash’s amazing pizzas and Hyde & Co’s brilliant cocktails and hospitality to the new opening, and can’t wait to give this site a new lease of life.”





Flour & Ash is now recruiting for members of the new team to help set up and run the new venue, including pizza chefs, front of house and a new General Manager.
