Newport Market...here we come!

We’ve been keeping a bit of a secret, but it’s time to let you in on it. In March we’ll be opening our first venture outside of England! And not just one venture, but two. And if that wasn’t enough, we’re thrilled to announce we’re going to be part of the incredible new development just over the bridge, in the newly renovated Newport Market!

Over the past decade we’ve honed our skills here in Bristol and the South West, focusing on new and exciting hospitality venues in the city and our out-of-town restaurant, The Ox Cheltenham. But when we got wind of the work that LoftCo, an award-winning property developer based in Cardiff, were doing in the old Newport Market, we knew we had to be a part of it.

Based right in the heart of Newport, the building is a Grade II listed market hall, complete with stunning arched glass ceiling, bags of character and plenty of original features. If you’ve visited any of our venues you’ll know character is one thing we pride ourselves on, so a new venture in Newport was something of a new brainer.

Newport Market will be opening on the 11th March and we’re very excited to tell you that amongst its independent food vendors occupying the ground floor you’ll be able to find our very own Seven Lucky Gods and Flour & Ash!

The market will be open five days a week, and you’ll be able to tuck into some of our signature dishes and drinks from both Seven Lucky Gods and Flour & Ash, either to eat in or takeaway. During the evenings it will become a bookable restaurant, and the ground floor will have capacity for around 400 people in total. The space will also house lifestyle businesses such as a yoga studio, workspaces and even a private event space for conferences and weddings - it’s going to be quite the spot!

So if you’re planning a trip over the bridge anytime soon be sure to stop in and check it out - it’ll be great to see you there!
